About Afrisocks
Afrisocks is inspired by the traditional Ghanaian Kente pattern. This kind of cloth was made of very colorful silk and cotton. Different ethnic Kente fabrics use different strips and colors. The word Kente, pronounced ken-ten, means a woven basket in the Ahan dialect of Ghana. Originally, Kent was woven cloth worn by chiefs and members of the royal family. Today Kent is popular and used by many West Africans in Ghana and elsewhere. Afrisocks new product tro-tro, "tro-tro" is a Ghanian slang term for driving Shared minibuses around town. For most Ghanaians, it is a popular and cheap means of transport. Tro-tros are packed, full of people, noise and drama, so you can instantly enjoy entertainment and traffic.
